This week, week 4, was more relaxed than any other WW week. I tracked my points and ate correct portions but I wasn't hard on myself if I went over my daily points and dipped into my weekly allowance.
If you weren't aware, Texas had a bit of a winter freeze so there was a lot of "eat what you can and don't worry about it" going on. This translated means fast food. I ate chick fil a, barbeque and pizza. All things you wouldn't think I should eat but I ate correct portion sizes and stopped eating when I wasn't hungry anymore. Just because it's on your plate doesn't mean you have to eat it!
So Sunday I was fully prepared to be disappointed, I took in a breath and stepped on the scale and...I lost 2 pounds! WHAT? I was shocked...How did I manage that?
I'm still not sure but I was happy. I did get a little warning about my rapid weight loss though and how it can be dangerous to my health so I'm keeping an eye on that.
I learned a big lesson, yes you should stay in your points range but going over every now and then isn't the end of the world. You can still eat the good stuff within reason and just because it's on your plate doesn't mean you HAVE to eat it.
How was your week? Did you surprise yourself? What did you learn?
Have a great Monday everyone!
Good job!! Sometimes that little 'shock' to your system can do wonders :)
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so good!
ReplyDeleteI think the hardest part about losing weight:
1) Believing in yourself.
2) Cutting yourself some slack.
You're doing both and you should feel GREAT about it. :)
that's why i LOVE WW...i was the same way at first...it's just finding that balance...but there are totally ways to eat and be satisfied and still lose weight. i'm proud of you! :)
