Today we had our last ultrasound :) Parker is right at 7 pounds and doing great! Dr. Carter is going to start checking me next week and has decided that if we haven't gone into labor within the next two weeks, she will induce labor on September 10th. Now, i have been saying for a few weeks that I wish he would come tomorrow but now that it is really getting down to crunch time I am SO NERVOUS. All I could think was oh my gosh there is still so much to do!!! Of course Michael is asking me "What? What else is there to do?" I have been in full on nesting mode since Saturday, I know it is getting on his nerves ha-ha I couldn't even sit and watch a movie with him last night because I was thinking about a million different things. All in all there really isn't much more we can do, we are as prepared as we can be and are just waiting for him. Everyone is getting excited for us and making their plans to come and see us and Parker, at least now they have a date they can go by. My brother (Uncle Awesome) is trying to get plane tickets from California to come see him so I know this will help, he can get tickets to get in on the 11th and hopefully we'll have a baby for him to spoil!
I asked Dr. Carter about some of the labor signs that I thought had to happen before I could go into labor (dropping, loss of my mucus plug gross I know, and others) and she told me that I may not have any of them...I was hoping for a little warning ha-ha she said they may come all at once right before I go into labor, there is no telling. Basically whenever he is ready, he'll come out. I thought it was interesting that she said for most first time moms their babies don't drop very much. Parker has dropped a little bit but for the most part it seems like his rear end is staying right above or on my belly button.
I also asked about the swine flu vaccine and she said I will definitely need to come in and get vaccinated especially since I am planning to breast feed.
Well that's all of the news I have for now!
